Celebrating the life of
Angela Gail Floyd
Passed away on March 26, 2025

Angela Gail Floyd, aged 84, peacefully departed to meet the Lord on March 26, 2025, surrounded by her cherished family. God cradled her in his arms and took her home.
Gail’s life was marked by her extraordinary strength and unwavering spirit. At just 10 years old, she made medical history as one of the first children to survive an operation that removed a lung at Emory in Atlanta, Ga. The doctors were in disbelief, and it was marked in textbooks. This early challenge shaped her into the strong and determined woman she became. She accepted Jesus Christ into her life right before her operation.
Her professional life was dedicated to her role as a certified dental assistant, a career she truly loved. Gail worked for many years alongside Dr. Larry Miller, a partnership characterized by mutual respect and admiration. Her warmth and kindness endeared her to both colleagues and patients alike.
Gail was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her nurturing spirit and kindness kept the family knit together.
She is survived by her three daughters Geanie Baltzegar (Don) of Richmond Hill, Ga. Janie Murray of Riverview, Fla. and Jammie Andrews (Shane) of Wilmington Island, Ga. Eight grandchildren: Rachel, Christopher, Haley, Ciara, Vivian, Carley, Sean, and Ben. Several great-grandchildren whose lives she enriched with her love. Sisters Ann Webster (Earnest) and Betty Floyd, who she was very close to, the three sisters had a tight bond.
Her parents, Dave Floyd and Natalie Blakewood Floyd, preceded her in death, but her memory continues to be cherished by those she leaves behind.
Honoring our mother’s wishes, a graveside service with her immediate family will be held. Though her physical presence has departed, her legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the lung association.
One of my most fondest memories were you dancing with us three when we were little. You’re at peace now, God has you cradled in his arms taking you home. I love you, moma.

My deepest condolences to the family as I know your mom will be greatly missed. We loved our time together and will one day see her for eternity as I know how she loved the Lord.

I loved Gail! She was good friend of my mother, Mary Ann Sullivan and my Aunt (Elizabeth Clinton/Boo). They were known as the 'Coffee Ladies" at Carey Hilliards. So sorry for the loss of your mother.
